Paneer Pulao Recipe | How to make paneer peas pulao recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup rice (soaked 15 minutes)
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1 bay leaf / tej patta
- 15-20 small sized cubes paneer / cottage cheese
- 1 tsp cumin / jeera
- 1 inch cinnamon stick / dalchini
- 1 medium sized onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 inch ginger (finely chopped)
- 1-2 clove garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 green chilli (slit)
- 2 medium sized tomato (finely chopped)
- ¼ cup peas / matar
- 1 carrot (finely chopped)
- ¾ tsp kashmiri red chili powder / lal mirch powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper powder
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp coriander leaf (finely chopped)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Firstly, heat ghee in a cooker.
- Add cumin, cinnamon stick, bay leaf, cloves.
- Sauté them on low flame till they run aromatic.
- Further add thinly sliced onions, ginger, garlic (or ginger garlic paste) and green chilli.
- Now add tomato and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Add carrot and peas. sauté well.
- Furthermore, add red chili powder, turmeric powder, black pepper and salt. Saute.
- Now add paneer cubes and mix well.
- Add rice and mix gently.
- Add water.
- Cover and pressure cook for 2 whistles or until the rice is cooked well.
- Also garnish with coriander.
- Finally, serve paneer pulao with black salt raita.
